Grief of graduation ( not an irony)

I am feeling slightly upset now (or more appropriately, emotional). The reason is sort of silly; I would be graduating soon. I have grown to be really attached to njc, really. In contrary to many believing that nj is a boring and dull school dominated by a book-worm lobby (haha), I have learned so much from the 2 years. How many of you would say you enjoy school as much as your enjoy holidays? I would. Such satisfaction and fulfillment stem from basically 2 cornerstone : my classmates and the teachers.

It is the first and only time in my entire 12 years that i met up with a class where i can feel a rapport with every single one of them (yes, every single one). It is really difficult to find so many classmates sharing the same ideals and dreams as you and i really treasure this rare encounter. I cherish even more, the tacit understanding among my bosom pals (xl, sn and sherm). We have experienced so much together, sharing not only joy, but also tears and anger. I shall also grab this opportunity to thank mak InY who has helped me for countless times and being always available whenever i feel murderous (haha). Though she's kind of weird (supported by mindy) sometimes (or most of the time, haha), she's really a trustworthy and earnest friend. I have learned to be more acceptive towards others (a quality not honed enough prior as me, wy, vtann and others are equally crazy and nonsensical). I am also touched by the level of committment the teachers in the college have (a stark distinction to some of the teachers in nh) and learning has never been a more enjoyable process.

I shall do a full post after A levels. :D

Long time no see!!

As requested by shuning:
Photos taken during my syf:D

Go create a facebook account shoe!!
I haven't been updating for quite some time. Let me talk about the
brilliant, exciting events
1) Watched HARRY POTTER with xinliang on fri! It was much more comical than previous series but the romance elements are, in our humble opinions, being over-emphasized on. Despite strong objections from xl, I still think that the desperate-for-ron girl is quite adorable. hehe. Anyway, potter pronounced "hermione" as "her-mon-ny" instead of the usual "her-m-ai-ny", something rather insignificant but which shows that i'm observant. haha.
The hilarious bit:
During the part when potter reached down to scoop some water for dumbledore, i was anticipating for something to spring out of the water so i reached out for xl's file. (when you're scared or nervous, you tend to grab smth. same logic here). but before i could reach the edge of her file, some hundreds/thousands of disgusting figures(forgot what they're called but they appeared before in previous series) sprang out the water. I was taken aback and let out a small scream and xl screamed too. Xl claimed that she was traumatized and i assumed gladly that it was due to the slimy ghouls, but...
After the show,
Xl: Just now i felt someone's hand on my file suddenly and i was so shocked!
HAHAHA.
I am slightly absent-minded when it comes to names. I thought "draco malfoy" was called "Marks Spencer" (name inspired from Marks & Spencers) and inadvertently referred "Harry Potter" as " David Potter". rofl!
2) Shalyn came over to nj on thurs afternoon so that i could pass her my O level notes. Unfortunately, i forgot to bring the RV best composition book which i deemed as extremely useful. Nevertheless, i felt good seeing my junior who's as sincere and honest as Kiddo. hehe. A word of gratitude to yuhung who lent out his locker so that i need not carry that bulky file. Thank you!
Enough of the happy stuff, there were things that dampened my mood and hmmm.. traumatized me.
1) I can only say "All that glitters is not gold". I doubt anyone will feel good if you sacrifice your ___ for ____. (___ so as not to make things obvious) I'm definitely a proponent of fair competition.
2) My GP teacher is or might be seriously ill. She applied for MC for some days and according to mrs chua, she was down with a serious headache. When she finally returned on fri, she told us that she's supposed to be hospitalised but just that there wasn't sufficient beds. But on hearing that she felt energetic calmed us down. She will be getting back her medical report the coming mon and i really pray for her safety. Hopefully, like what xl said, it's just a ailment of old.

Some great stuff to share:

Fu Man Yuan @ intercontinental hotel

Crayfish! You don't find it everywhere and i can't resist it.
Another fantastic place for crayfish would be mong hing teochew restaurant located at Keypoint beside the Concourse. If you happen to drop by there, their crayfish and braised goose meat are must-try dishes!! My family has long been a patron of mong hing:D

Ma Maison @ Bugis Junction
It's a japanese and western restaurant. The latest branch is at The Central.

*Thumbs up*

The "key concept" of payment. So cool eh:D

It's not often that you get invited to your friend's siblings' birthday party so...I felt extremely honoured for being invited to christine's birthday party. HEHE.

The mega cute birthday cake. I was crazy over the penguins.

Don't you get a hint who's christine?

Yepp, that's that lovely girl. She's mabel's sister, mabel's my long-time-lost-contact friend.

That's her dog mickey! Looks just like a flurry toy!
